Frequently Asked Questions
What is preventative maintenance and why is it important?
Preventative maintenance (PM) is a scheduled inspection and tune-up of your HVAC or refrigeration equipment. Using specialized tools, we check system performance and key measurements to catch potential problems early, helping prevent unexpected breakdowns and extend the life of your equipment.
How often should I change my furnace filter?
A good rule is every 3 months, but it can vary depending on pets, dust levels, system location, and the type of filter used. Most homes use a MERV 8 filter, which balances good air filtration without putting extra strain on the furnace blower.
How do I know if my equipment needs repair or replacement?
We always try to repair equipment first. For many homeowners, if a system needs multiple major repairs, replacement may become the more economical option. Every situation is different, so we’ll explain what we find and help you decide on the best solution.
Is upgrading to a high-efficiency furnace worth it?
Sometimes. If your current 80% efficiency furnace is running well, it can still be a good option. High-efficiency furnaces use less gas and often provide more even heating, but whether it’s worth upgrading depends on your home and comfort needs.
Do you offer emergency HVAC service?
Yes. 24/7 emergency service is available for heating, cooling, and refrigeration issues.
Do you service commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems?
Yes. We provide sheet metal, gas, and refrigeration services for both residential and commercial systems
How are service calls and estimates handled?
There is a minimum service call charge for diagnostics. If a major repair is required, we can provide a quote and the initial service call fee is waived.
